Selling ad slots directly

Hello,

I am a bit curious if anyone has sold ad slots directly or through his own sales representative.

If so how much did you got ? Compared with selling though third party sites...

I always sell my own ad slots. I never put AdSense or any other program in every single available slot I have.
I make way more than I would with AdSense, TLA, etc.
It all depends on the site though. PR, backlinks, indexed pages, etc.

Yes. Just find the right buyer. As long as you have good content, update your site regularly, are relevant, etc., people will buy slots.

so it seem that content is still more important than PR. did you just let people know that you provide ads slot or you ever contact any advertiser directly to offer ads space?

Hmm, you can do both but do the second one a little more carefully.
Some webmasters see this as annoying.
