Most, if not all, traffic counters will record which pages of your website are visited the most.
Review this and put more exciting things on those pages. Don't just leave it bare or the same way for long periods of time.
Give your visitors variety and a reason to stay.
Don't change your site around too much though, you could get banned from search engines...

What you mean by putting exciting things? I don't think a spiderbot can tell from exciting things and not exciting things :O Maybe just the words and how relevant they are to the search engine searches.

I'm not talking about bots, I'm talking about actual traffic.
