We're currently working on an automated eNewsletter (actually forum updates) for this forum and our other two forums also (www.microsoft-forums.com and www.zfforums.com).
Our specs originally called for three versions of the each newsletter: 3-Version Approach:
I'm wondering how to achieve the 3-version concept while still allowing members to select their desired interval. We want to keep the 3-version approach because from previous experience, the web-based Current Version, which always has the same page name, will garner a high PR because everyone goes to that page to see the latest newsletter. The Archive List page also get a high PR but not quite as high as the Current Version page does. Does anyone have any suggestions or opinions on how to achieve both of the following approaches:

Here is a solution to this issue:
If you keep the newsletter creation separate from the newsletter mailings (2 parts). Part 1 - creation - Following a schedule and create two versions of the newsletters, one daily and one weekly, at preset times. Control the titles, control the generation time, control the 3 versions (email, current issue, archive issue and archive list page). Part 2 - Mailings - On a separate preset schedule, create the mailing lists and send the newsletters. Simply send the same email file version every time you send. That email file will change every time Part 1 is completed on its own preset schedule. Only condition is that Part 2 has to follow Part 1 for both daily and weekly mailings.
