Cool Flash as a Marketing Tool?

I was wondering how everyone here felt about using flash on your website as a marketing tool (i.e., web 2.0 like attraction)

Are visitors turned off by flash intros and flash components within a home page or do they appreciate the aesthetic beauty and ingenuity of a well done flash component?

Comments?
Thanks.

I usually just skip the intros if it's in Flash because it takes a while to load.
It's very attractive though and would probably attract a lot more visitors.

personally, since it take more time to loaded then I prefer to choose non-flash version (if there is that option) or like Jerlene said, I just skip the intro.

Except, for multimedia or art/design site then I will waiting for the intro and all flash part of that site.

It would be nice to have something other than the dull of the forum.
Since we don't have a homepage, a Flash intro would be nice.
