Yeah, may sound as a stupid thing but for some sites i created i got lot of visitors from Wikipedia.

Wikipedia doesn't allow advertising. However, if your website just launched relies over a very new market, and if offers very good/quality content, not found on other sites... You can have a chance so your link could reside into External Links section of an article related to that new market (new technology, aso).

Would help also if you are able to actually write article content, not just add links to existing articles.

I added my site to Wikipedia in the past and it brought me a lot of traffic and helped me out with my PR but there's a lot of competition out there and because they want their link on Wikipedia as well, your link will most likely get removed as quick as you put it up.
You could always put it back but it would be a repetitive process.

Yes, i know, sometime whey wiping down your link. However, if:
- it's a very niche market and your site is quite valuable

- or someone who's trusty for Wikipedia would add your link

your link would stay a long time... Some of my links are still there been added this way, and i got lot of visitors coming from Wikipedia.

Even if your site is the best site on that topic, a competitor will come and delete it.
