I like to know which threads are the most popular, how many registrations/posts/threads there are each day/week/month, what are the new posts and I think that's basically it.
A lot of forum newsletters like to let people know who the newest registered user of their forum are but personally I couldn't care less.
Newsletters are often ignored, especially if it's plain so add some graphics. There's no guarantee that everyone has a provider that allows them to view the graphics properly but it's definitely worth a try.
