Cool Member-driven newsletter interval

We're currently working on an automated eNewsletter (actually forum updates) for this forum and our other two forums also (www.microsoft-forums.com and www.zfforums.com).

Our specs originally called for three versions of the each newsletter:

3-Version Approach:
  1. Current version (email)
  2. Current Version (web-based)
  3. Archived Version (Web-based)
This can all be achieved by controlling the name and generation times for each issue. However, we want to allow each member to select their issue intervals (i.e., Daily or Weekly),

I'm wondering how to achieve the 3-version concept while still allowing members to select their desired interval. We want to keep the 3-version approach because from previous experience, the web-based Current Version, which always has the same page name, will garner a high PR because everyone goes to that page to see the latest newsletter.

The Archive List page also get a high PR but not quite as high as the Current Version page does. Does anyone have any suggestions or opinions on how to achieve both of the following approaches:
  • 3-Version Approach
  • Member-driven newsletter interval
Thanks in advance.
